Motivated by personal experiences, particularly the loss of her mother to brain cancer during high school, Sashka founded Standbuy—a pioneering crowdfunding tool supporting individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Its insights led her to extend her impact with it’s evolution into Stndby, utilizing innovative technologies to create empathetic support systems for those facing profound life challenges. Following the thread and informed by global effects of the pandemic, a new chapter of work came to life. After years and hundreds of private and professional conversations and interviews of people’s stories of life and loss, Record Store was born, a platform that helps individuals preserve their life stories as private living digital legacies.
